Cookie Policy
Which cookies J Tools uses, why, and how you stay in control, in plain language.

The short version
We use a few cookies to keep the site secure and remember your choices. Analytics, theme and advertising cookies are yours to control from the banner, and you can change your mind any time.
Cookie categories
Necessary cookies keep the site secure and working, and are always on. Functional cookies remember non-essential preferences like your theme. Analytics cookies help us measure usage. Advertising cookies measure whether an ad campaign actually brought someone here.

Google Analytics and Google Ads
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland) for usage stats and Google Ads for campaign measurement. Both run in Consent Mode, so your choice on the banner controls them directly. Analytics and advertising start on, and the banner turns them off. While a category is denied, only anonymous cookieless pings are sent for it: no _ga cookie, no user id, and ad identifiers stripped from the request. Your IP is always masked, and withdrawing consent deletes the cookies that category had already written.
Advertising and Google Ads
We run search campaigns and need to know which of them work. With advertising allowed, Google Ads receives the click id that came in with your visit and can match a completed tool run back to the ad that paid for it. Turn it off and those identifiers are stripped from every request, so the run stays uncounted. Nothing here targets you personally: the site builds no ad profiles and sells no data. We also run X's conversion pixel (uwt.js). It reports your visit to X so the campaigns there can be measured, runs on every page, and writes the _twclid and _twpid cookies.
