Yes. Devnet SOL is test currency with no real value, and this faucet dispenses it for free. You never pay for devnet SOL, and you should never send mainnet funds to a devnet faucet.

Is this faucet legit?

It transfers real devnet SOL on Solana's devnet cluster and returns a verifiable transaction signature with a Solscan link. Devnet SOL only works on devnet and has no market value, so there's nothing to scam.

How often can I claim?

You can claim again after a short cooldown, up to 25 SOL every 24 hours. The limits keep the treasury available for every developer.

What is devnet SOL used for?

Developers use devnet SOL to pay transaction fees and account rent while testing programs, RPC integrations, and dApps on Solana's development network before deploying to mainnet.

What's the difference between devnet and testnet SOL?

Devnet and testnet are two separate Solana clusters for development. Devnet is the most common for app testing; testnet is used more for validator and protocol testing. This faucet dispenses devnet SOL.

Do I need to connect a wallet or log in?

No. Just paste your devnet address and claim. There's no GitHub login, no wallet connection, and no mainnet balance requirement.
