How do I remove spam NFTs from my Solana wallet?

How much SOL do I get back when I burn an NFT?

It depends on the NFT. A standard Token Metadata NFT returns the rent of its token, metadata and edition accounts, and a programmable one a little more. A Core NFT returns its rent minus the 0.0015 SOL create fee that stays behind. The page reads the exact figure for every NFT before you burn.

What does it cost to burn NFTs?

5% of the rent the burn actually returns, plus network fees. The fee is paid inside each batch, so a batch that fails costs nothing. Compressed NFTs return no rent, so they carry no fee.

Can I burn compressed NFTs?

Yes. A compressed NFT is burned with a proof read just before its batch. It has no account of its own, so it returns no SOL, and you pay nothing for it beyond the network fee.

Can a burned NFT be brought back?

No. A burn is final on the chain. That is why the page asks you to tick a confirmation box and tags verified collections as possibly valuable. If you only want an NFT out of sight, send it to another wallet instead.

Which NFTs cannot be burned here?

Token-2022 NFTs, print editions and frozen NFTs (a programmable NFT's usual lock does not count) are left out. Any NFT the chain refuses in the test run is named, and you unpick it before you go on.
